Fire Magic Custom 24-Inch Gas Grill

The Bottom Line

Fire Magic gas grills are among the best in the world and this is their biggest and most powerful grill (also the most expensive). This grill, one of their most basic and smallest, is a great grill at a high price. Excellent construction and high heat output make this one of the best grills on the market in this price range. This grill comes in three mounting options and with a wide range of potential extras. While you can get this grill in a propane, freestanding option this grill typically sells as an insert.

Pros

  • Heavy, welded construction
  • High heat output from four burners

Cons

  • Dual control burners give this grill two cooking zones with four burners
  • Optional features are expensive

Description

  • Four 13,000 BTU cast stainless steel burners with one control valve for two burners (dual cook zone grill)
  • 432 square inches of primary grilling space
  • 52,000 BTU maximum output from the main burners
  • 18,000 BTU rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner
  • Electronic Igniter
  • Available with either stainless steel rod or porcelain coated cast iron cooking surface

  • Full width drip tray

Guide Review - Fire Magic Custom I 24-Inch Gas Grill

This Fire Magic grill is amongst their smallest but still has all the quality that makes Fire Magic one of the best gas grills in the world. This basic unit doesn't have a lot of extras outside of the rotisserie system but is a grill that cooks at a professional level and gives you a tremendous amount of power.

One of the interesting details of this grill is that while it has two control valves for the main cooking area it has four burners. These four 13,000 BTU cast stainless steel burners give you an incredible level of evenness under the 24 inches of width. Two burners are controlled by one valve.

This grill is built for power right down to the 18,000 BTU infrared rotisserie burner. Considering the width of this grill, this is a very high potential output for a rotisserie burner. This is one grill that you might never actually turn all the way up.
