This is a brand that stands up with the best.
Cascade 4-Burner Stainless Steel Grill
The Cascade 4-Burner is a $300 gas grill built by Sureheat in China exclusively for the Kroger family of stores. This is a basic unit built on the stainless steel design of grills a few years back. Now it is mainly constructed from enamel painted steel with a few low grade stainless steel body parts. If you are looking for a grill that will last a year or two then this is a good choice.
Charmglow 3-Zone with Smoker (Model# 810-8905-S)
With the high price of stainless steel and the problems many grills have had many manufacturers and retailers are turning to colors. This big, black gas grill is enamel painted and contains virtually no stainless steel other than burners and cooking grates. This allows Brinkmann to pump this big grill up with 60,000 BTUs of primary output, a full rotisserie system with infrared burners, two side burners and a dedicated smoker burner.
Charmglow 4-Burner Stainless Steel Model #810-8530-S
This $370USD 4-burner gas grill is a full function unit that boasts a large cooking area, good heat output, full rotisserie system and a side burner. Unfortunately the low quality materials and poor construction limit the durability and function of this gas grill. The grill belongs to Home Depot's Charmglow Stainless steel series, but this is low quality, magnetic stainless steel. This kind of stainless steel rusts, discolors and simply won't last.
Charmglow 5-Burner Gas Grill Model #810-8552-S
This eye catching gas grill combines a painted body with stainless steel parts to produces a moderately priced full feature gas grill with 5 burners and a side burner. The heat output is adequate for the size and the 5 burner design helps even out the heat and give you a lot of versatility. The permanent mounted side tables giving the cooking area a boxed in feel that may be a little awkward to cook on.
Charmglow 5-Burner Stainless Steel with Rotisserie (Model #810-8550-s)
This eye catching gas grill combines a painted body with stainless steel parts to produces a moderately priced full feature gas grill with 5 burners, full function rotisserie system and side burner. The heat output is adequate for the size and the 5 burner design helps even out the heat. The permanent mounted side tables are raised placing the rotisserie mountings and motor under the side tables. This can make accessing the motor a little awkward.
Charmglow Gourmet Series Oven Grill (model #720-0536)
This is a gas grill with all the bells and whistles. Internal infrared sear burner, infrared rotisserie burner (full rotisserie kit includes), cart mounted side burner, gas powered oven, and a regular 4-burner grill means you can cook anything on this grill and all for around $800. Really sounds too good to be true, doesn't it. Well, guess what? This grill is built from painted steel body parts, low quality stainless steel and many plastic pieces.
Charmglow Porcelain Series 5-Burner Model #810-8500-S
This $4000USD 5-burner gas grill is a basic unit that boasts a large cooking area, good heat output and a full function side burner. Unfortunately the low quality materials and poor construction limit the durability and function of this gas grill. The grill belongs to Home Depot's porcelain series, but what that really means is that the grill is porcelain painted steel. The problem with this is that any crack in the porcelain will let in moisture and start the grill rusting.
Charmglow Stainless Steel 5-Burner (Model #780-0578)
This big version of the Charmglow Gas Grill from Home Depot has more burners, more BTUs and more space, but it isn't any better in quality. Like many of the Nexgrill imported gas grills, this unit is designed to catch the eye and look impressive. With 5 burners and lots of cooking space it does that. Unfortunately, cooking capabilities, durability and usability was a secondary consideration. Having said that this isn't a bad grill for the price (about $500 USD), you could do better though.
DCS 30-inch Professional Grill
This is like a subcompact Ferrari. The smallest of the DCS (Dynamic Cooking Systems) grills, but at 565 square inches of total grilling space it's not that small. The attention to detail and superior construction make this one of the best grills on the market. You really can't go wrong with this one and it's hard to think of anything bad to say about it other than it is is a stripped down basic model of this grill line.
DCS 48" Professional Outdoor Gas Grill Review
DCS 48" Professional Outdoor Gas Grill Review. This is truly a beautiful looking gas grill. With up to 861 square inches of cooking space and 100,000 BTUs depending on the configuration you choose this grill is big enough and powerful enough for the largest parties. The quality stainless steel construction is fantastic. If you've got the money this grill is a great choice. Options include 2 17,000 BTU side burners and a full rotisserie system with infrared rear mounted burner.
Ducane Affinity 3100 Gas Grill
It's hard to get a full function grill (this one includes the rotisserie kit) for under $400USD that is durable and can actually cook. To do this, Weber shipped production of its Ducane grills to China and completely redesigned this grill. The only thing that hasn't changed is the great Weber support. This is a basic three burner grill without any extras, but good cooking abilities and durable construction.
Ducane Affinity 3200

Ducane Affinity S 3200 Gas Grill
It's hard to get a full function stainless steel grill for under $1000USD that is durable and can actually cook. To do this, Weber shipped production of its Ducane grills to China and swapped good stainless for not so good. By using 430 stainless Weber is keeping the price down. This is a basic three burner grill without side burner. You get good cooking abilities and durable construction. So, for around $900USD you can get grill that will last you many years (I'd still get the cover though).
Ducane Meridian 24" 3-Burner
This is an attractive grill designed by Weber, sold under the Ducane name through specialty stores and made in China. In the line of low priced complete stainless steel grills this isn't a bad unit. This, but good quality stainless steel and an efficient design let it cook well though I would say it was designed to look good before it was designed to grill. It does have a couple of good features and a whole host of extras.
Ducane Meridian 32" 5-Burner Gas Grill
This is an attractive grill designed by Weber, sold under the Ducane name through specialty stores and made in China. In the line of low priced complete stainless steel grills this isn't a bad unit. This, but good quality stainless steel and an efficient design let it cook well though I would say it was designed to look good before it was designed to grill. It does have a couple of good features and a whole host of extras.

Fiesta Blue Ember 3-Burner Model #FG50069-U409
This grill is loaded with features right down to a bottle opener mounted on the front. This grill plugs in to power the internal LED lights and has outlets in the back to let you plug in your radio for some music while grilling. At it's heart is a three burner, 45,000 BTU gas grill that has plenty of power and three position cooking grates which give you the ability to get down close to the fire, or position away for gentler heat.
Fiesta Blue Ember iQue 4-Burner Gas Grill
The Blue Ember iQue from Fiesta is billed as the worlds first computer controlled grill. This grill is equipped with several sensors that tell the computer about cooking temperatures, food temperatures and even the amount of fuel in the propane tank. This allows you to put a roast on the grill, insert the temperature probe and set the computer to do all the work. The two different cooking zones can be controlled separately allowing you to grill steaks on one side and vegetables on the other.
Fire Magic Custom I 24-Inch Gas Grill
Fire Magic gas grills are among the best in the world and this is their biggest and most powerful grill (also the most expensive). This grill, one of their most basic and smallest, is a great grill at a high price. Excellent construction and high heat output make this one of the best grills on the market in this price range. This grill comes in three mounting options and with a wide range of potential extras.
Fire Magic Elite Magnum 50 inch
Fire Magic gas grills are among the best in the world and this is their biggest and most powerful grill (also the most expensive). There are so many great features on this unit that there just isn't enough space to list them all. This is the perfect grill for large gatherings. You can rotisserie a couple of turkeys, or simply grill about 200 hamburgers. If you need a giant grill for the company, church or extended family, this is the perfect unit.
Fire Magic Regal II 30-Inch Gas Grill
Fire Magic gas grills are among the best in the world and this is their biggest and most powerful grill (also the most expensive). This grill, one of their mid-sized units, is a great grill at a high price. Excellent construction and high heat output make this one of the best grills on the market in this price range. This grill comes in three mounting options and with a wide range of potential extras.
Freedom Grill FG-100
This is a trailer hitch mounted dual burner propane grill on a swing arm that not only lets you tote your grill pretty much anywhere but swings away from your vehicle far enough to open a tailgate or access your trunk. The FG-100 is built for tailgating but is a fantastic grill to take anywhere you can drive too. This grill has many unique features but I think the one that stands out is the pass through collar hitch that lets you put the grill on hand still have your hitch for pulling a boat.
Freedom Grill FG-50
This is a trailer hitch mounted single burner propane grill on a swing arm that not only lets you tote your grill pretty much anywhere but swings away from your vehicle far enough to open a tailgate or access your trunk. The Freedom Grill is built for tailgating but is also a great portable grill. Not only do you get the 180 degree swing arm mounting, but this grill can be pulled completely off your vehicle to work as a table top portable grill.
Frigidaire 26" Gas Grill (FD26LKEC) Review
Frigidaire 26" Gas Grill (FD26LKEC) Review. This two burner stainless steel gas grill is the smallest of the Frigidaire line of gas grills. It is a very basic unit for around $650 that will get you grilling, but won't give you a lot of options. The stainless steel construction of pretty good for the price, but like many of these type of grills the overall construction is a little weak, however it is hard to beat the price for a grill like this.
Holland Legacy LS Gas Grill Review
Holland Legacy LS Gas Grill Review. They call it the Legacy because you'll be leaving this grill to your heirs. This is the stainless steel version of the popular Holland Grill that guarantees no flare-ups.
Jenn-Air 45,000 BTU Gas Grill (model #720-0336)
This is a large, full function as grill that sells out of Lowe's for around $800 USD. You get everything with this grill except the rod for your rotisserie, a cover and a propane tank. Other than that you get an infrared side burner (better for searing steaks than heating pots), lots of cooking space and internal grill lights. The down side of this grill is the lightweight stainless steel (all 304) construction and a problematic infrared burner.
Jenn-Air 52,000 BTU Gas Grill (model #720-0337) by Nexgrill
This is a large, full function as grill that sells out of Lowe's for aroudn $1,000 USD.
Jenn-Air 62,000 BTU Gas Grill
This is a big, beautiful grill island unit with virtually everything you could ever need in a gas grill (tank, rotisserie kit, propane tank excluded). Yes, Jenn-Air the company has absolutely nothing to do with this unit. Nexgrill (the importer) will be responsible for getting you your parts and accessories. Regardless of what the means to you this is a good unit if you have a crane and $1,700 to get it into your backyard.
Kalamazoo Bread Breaker II Gas Grill
Imagine a grill virtually custom made for you. That's what Kalamazoo does and has been doing for about 100 years. This grill is probably the ultimate gas grill and at nearly $10,000USD it has to be. Every part of this grill from the 3/16 inch laser cut cooking grates to the hinges on the doors is custom made from 304 stainless steel. The "dragon" burners are cast stainless, heavy and so beautiful you'll be showing them off. This grill also has a side mounted smoker system that actually works.
Kalamazoo Steadfast I Dual Fuel
Kalamazoo makes some of the most impressive gas grills on the market. Actually to call this unit a gas grill is a little misleading. This unit can run on charcoal and hardwood as well as gas. The unique fuel drawer system lets you pick and choose your fuel. The solid construction of this grill make it virtually indestructible. The cooking grate will take 400 pounds of food, which is more than you could actually balance on the grill. This grill is assembled from hand made parts.
Kenmore 3-Burner Gas Grill
This Kenmore gas grill by Char-Broil is typical of the low end, mass-market gas grills. Poor quality components with poor quality construction. It's "sear" burner feature is a joke and the one feature that works is it's Sears support, because they will get you replacement parts for as long as the warranty lasts, which isn't long. This is a grill with useless features, bad cooking abilities and nothing to make you want to actually own it. Definitely a grill to avoid.
Kenmore 680 2-Burner Gas Grill (Model #16110/464810408)
This is the bottom of the line for the Char-Broil made Sears Kenmore gas grills. This is a single burner, dual zone gas grill with a basic side burner. While the heat output of is okay the evenness isn't. On the other hand this grill lists for $180USD but typically sells for $160USD. These days this is the bottom end of gas grills so if this is the most you can afford you may consider it, but don't expect much. The thin body won't hold in the heat so you can't get a lot of versatility.
Kenmore Elite 750 5-Burner (Model #16661)
This is a full feature gas grill with side burner, sear burner and infrared rotisserie burner (rotisserie kit not included). The side burner is the standard Char-Broil (who makes this grill) side solution burner that works as a side burner, griddle and steamer oven. The 52,500 BTUs of its main burners isn't a lot of heat for the size but its close. This grill is a mixture of poor quality stainless steel and porcelain coated materials. At around $800USD this grill has a lot of competition.
Kenmore Elite 834 Gas Grill (Model #16674)
This is another big shiny gas grill sitting on the showroom floor at your local Sears. With lots of grilling space, infrared side burner and rotisserie burner it is a full feature gas grill, but like so many in this price range (lists at around $1,200USD but sale prices go as low as $1,000USD) it is made from thin stainless steel with limited construction quality. While this unit will most likely grill like a dream when you first get it home, the problems will set in quickly.
Kenmore Elite Cross Ray Grill (model #16671)
The Kenmore Cross Ray is an all infrared grill that uses a unique design. The four infrared burners are mounted vertically, two on the back wall and two on the front wall of the cooking chamber. This means you do not cook over the heat source and drippings do not reach the burner. Infrared heat crosses (hence "Cross Ray") the cooking surface. This innovative design seems like a good idea, but the execution isn't right and the grill has uneven heating and can be difficult to operate.
Kenmore Elite Premium Gas Grill
With the exception of the side burner this grill offers little else in the way of features. The 60,000 BTUs of its main burners puts out good heat for the size of the grill. The open design make this a brute force kind of grill. Much of this grill contains 304 stainless steel but components such as the barriers are simply porcelain coated steel. Some body parts are lower quality stainless. The appearance is good but the overall quality of the construction is weak.
Kenmore Red 3-Burner Gas Grill (model #16301)
This grill is built to sell on its looks. Available in bright red or blue this nit looks unique on the showroom floor but lacks the quality construction to make it worth the well over $300 it regularly sells for. This 3-burner gas grill with side burner is a basic grill that doesn't boast anything that would make it stand out. Painted in bright colors it might just be the paint job that is the biggest problem with this will.
Kirkland Signature 304 Stainless Steel Gas Grill w/ Oven
This is a big and shiny gas grill built by Nexgrill for Costco and sold under the name Kirkland. At nearly $1,400 this grill has a lot of features including a good quality cast brass side burner, a full rotisserie set including infrared burner and an oven. However, as impressive as it looks the over all construction is weak and I've had complaints about assembly problems and the overall quality of the grill. My concern with this grill is the complexity of the manual and the wiring of the oven.
KitchenAid 27 inch Gas Grill (Model #KFRS271TSS)
This three burner gas grill is the smallest unit in the KitchenAid Gas grill line. This is a basic version (running around $1,600) of what is intended to be a customizable appliance line. At the heart of this grill is a good cooking system that puts out a lot of heat evenly. You get a full feature rotisserie system with this grill including a rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner. The main burner design is excellent and all construction is good quality 304 stainless steel.
KitchenAid 36" Wide Gas Grill Model #KFRS361TSS
This three burner gas grill is the mid-sized unit in the KitchenAid Gas grill line. This is a basic version (running around $1,800) of what is intended to be a customizable appliance line. At the heat of this grill is a good cooking system that puts out a lot of heat evenly. You get a full feature rotisserie system with this grill including a rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner. The main burner design is excellent and all construction is good quality 304 stainless steel.

It also comes standard with a two position rotisserie that can accommodate 65 pounds. You'll also find an internal light so you can grill in the dark. Lynx makes some of the best grills on the market.
Member's Mark 32-inch Stainless Steel Gas Grill
At around $600 this isn't a bad stainless steel gas grill. The 304 stainless steel will last and retain its appearance for a long time though it is thin. Of all the Chinese manufacturers, Grand Hall (who makes this unit) probably has the best reputation. The heat output is good and even giving you good grilling abilities and short preheat times. This is a full feature grill with side burner, rotisserie system (including rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner, and even a cover included.

MHP Heritage Series WRG4DD Infrared Gas Grill Review
MHP Heritage Series WRG4DD Infrared Gas Grill Review - This is the first cast aluminum infrared gas grill. It offers complete infrared power from three burners at a price under $1,000. This grill can be preheated in three minutes and cook at extremely high temperatures giving excellent searing power. This is probably one of the best steak cooking grills on the market. One downside is the complete infrared design will limit low temperature cooking for some items you might want to grill.
MHP Optimum Series (TJK Model)
MHP Optimum Series Gas Grill Review. This is a real grill. Solid construction with great, even heat, but not all the bells and whistles you find on less well made grills.
Minden Master Gas Grill
This compact three burner gas grill was designed to ship directly to consumers limiting the size and weight of the unit to something most shipping companies would transport. Even with these limits this 3-burner gas grill produces high, even heat and works very well as a basic grill for around $400. With additional features (purchasable anytime) you can give this grill a side burner, stainless steel cooking grates, a full sized griddle and much more.
Napoleon Prestige I P308 Gas Grill Review
Napoleon Prestige I P308 Gas Grill Review. This is one of the most basic units available from Napoleon Gourmet Grills. Napoleon has made some of the best grills on the market for many years and while this unit is small, a little underpowered, and limited in features it has very good construction and high quality components. The stainless steel burners are some of the best of their type and the cooking components are excellent.
Napoleon Prestige II (PT450) Gas Grill Review
Napoleon Prestige II (PT450) Gas Grill Review. A top quality grill with high, even heat and a BTU rating of up to 61,000. One of the highest in this class. The stainless steel burners are top quality and the design, which includes a choice of colors is also very good.
Napoleon Prestige II PT750rsbi Gemini Gas Grill
This is a dual head gas grill. Meaning, this grill is actually two grills welded together. In this configuration you get a two burner infrared grill that heats up in one minute and grills a steak in four. On the other side you get a large three burner 45,000 BTU standard grill with full rotisserie system. Throw in a side burner (standard) and you have a real, full function gas grill.

If you've got the money, this is a grill you really should be looking at.
Napoleon Ultra Chef U405 Gas Grill Review
Napoleon Ultra Chef U405 Gas Grill Review. As far as basic grills go this is a very good unit with three independently controlled burners and a wide range in adjustment. The stainless steel internal components offer long life and good, even heat.
NexGrill Dual Head 4-Burner Grill with Refrigerator Model #720-0617
Good quality stainless steel is expensive these days. To pack a big gas grill full of bells and whistles and then wrap it in 304 stainless steel is going to give you a very expensive grill. For Nexgrill to deliver this full feature unit to Costco at a retail price of $1,200 cutbacks had to be made. In this case large amounts of powder coated steel instead of stainless. The features on this grill include a full rotisserie system with burner, side burner, a sear burner and a refrigerator.
Outdoorchef Roma Model #570MX2
Simply put this is one of the best grills on the market for under $500 USD. The unique design of this gas powered kettle grill is gives it a level of versatility you just don't see in gas grill. This unit can do practically anything from low and slow barbecue to seared steaks to baked bread to paella. Setting aside all the stainless steel, popular today, Outdoorchef can deliver this high quality, lightweight grill with this kind of abilities.
Perfect Flame 5-Burner Gas Grill (Model #720-0522)
This is a big, powerful grill. With a total cooking area well over 600 square inches of primary cooking space and 75,000 BTUs of heat output you get a grill that won't have any trouble heating up and cooking. The now quality (430) stainless steel body is what holds down the price, bringing this grill in around $500USD. The infrared side/sear burner is a nice feature. This grill has a rotisserie burner but the rotisserie kit is optional.
Perfect Flame Double Lid 4-Burner (model #GAC3615)
This grill is basically a $300USD gimmick. The double lid design will give you a big and a little grill, but they are both standard grill units so they offer no versatility. The only real difference between the left and right cooking area is the large, heavy porcelain coated cast iron cooking grate on the one burner side. This is designed to give you a lot of contact heat with the food you are cooking and therefore a "sear".
Perfect Flame Electronic Touchpad LP Gas Grill (model #720-0533)
In the never ending search to find the latest gimmick to take on to a grill we get this model from Nexgrill, sold exclusively at Lowes. The control panel on this model is an electronic touchpad that lets you control the burners and gives you a cooking timer. What this means is that you have to plug this unit in to get it to work (no grilling in a power outage). Probably the scariest "feature" of this grill is that the warranty on the electronics only lasts for 6 months.
Perfect Flame Split-Lid Gas Grill (Model #E3520-LPG)
This is a dual head (or two lid) gas grill. One compartment is a standard, three burner gas grill that gives you 39,750 BTUs under 430 square inches of cooking area. The other side is a single 16,000 BTU infrared burner under 220 square inches. You get an independent infrared searing grill and a standard gas grill. I have said in the past that I like this combination. Unfortunately on this grill it isn't well executed.
Sureheat Tuscany 33 Inch 4-Burner Gas Grill
The Sureheat Tuscany (now labeled as made by Altima) gives you a full feature gas grill in an attractive design for around $400. Sold exclusively through Costco Stores this unit has a unique infrared side burner, full function rotisserie system, infrared sear burner under the hood and plenty of space for cooking and storage. Sureheat manages to hit Costco's price point by greatly reducing the amount of stainless steel in this unit.
TEC Sterling G3000FR Infra-Red Gas Grill
This grill is one of the ultimate steak cooking grill. The incredible heat generated by the radiant glass infra-red technology means this grill can cook at temperatures that most grills can only dream of. However, this incredible heat limits this grill in its ability to cook more delicate foods. Fish and vegetables can present a challenge on this grill and because of the high heat you need to watch foods closely to prevent burning.
Turbo Classic 3-Burner Gas Grill Review
Turbo Classic 3-Burner Gas Grill Review. Barbeques Galore imports its own line of grills. This one the classic unit that hasn't changed much in years. This is a grill designed for cooking and has no features other than the main grill. While it has a good warranty and heavy components the reliance on porcelain coatings forces you to take extra care of the grill. While not a bad grill it doesn't take advantage of more modern design or components.
Turbo Elite 3-Burner Gas Grill Review
Turbo Elite 3-Burner Gas Grill Review.
Twin Eagles Pinnacle Series 42-Inch
This Twin Eagles gas grill is one of the best designed gas grills on the market. Flawless in its construction this classic style gas grill still uses high temperature ceramic briquettes as a barrier to distribute heat and burn off grease. Of course this can led to flare-ups, but with this unit that isn't going to be much of a problem. The high quality 304 stainless steel is seamlessly welded together to keep heat in and the elements out.
Twin Eagles Salamangrill
Imagine grilling a steak at temperatures well over 1,000 degrees F and never having to worry about flare-ups. Now imagine cooking a perfect pizza in the same cooking and not having to worry about burning the crust. The Salamangrill is the first commercially available Salamander grill, a gas powered, infrared broiler used in restaurants to get the perfect steak. This small cooker is perfect for many grilling tasks and does it fast and easy.
Uniflame 36,000 BTU Gas Grill
You'd think that at about $170USD this would be a pretty good grill for the money. You'd be wrong. This grill doesn't cut back in a few areas, it cuts back in all of them. The cooking grates are hardly strong enough to hold up a lot of food. The three part sectional burner promises to make the entire grill useless at the first sign of trouble. This simply isn't a grill worth buying, even at this price. It would have made more sense to take out the side burner in favor of a better burner.
